Sides Privacy Policy

1. Overview
Taketo Fujimaki (“Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Sides iOS application (“Sides” or the “App”). Sides processes the information needed to create cards and QR codes primarily on the user’s device.
The current version does not provide a Sides account, display advertising, perform advertising tracking, or use third-party analytics. This Policy explains the information the App processes, stores, and transmits to external services, and how that information can be deleted.
2. Information Processed on the Device
Cards created by the user may contain a card title, display name or handle, destination URL, service type, theme, and custom color. This information is stored on the user’s device to display cards and generate QR codes.
QR codes are generated on the device from the URL entered by the user. We do not transmit or store card contents or QR-code destination URLs on a server operated by us.
3. Photos and Sharing
When the user chooses to save a card, the App adds the rendered card image to the Photos library. The App does not read existing photos in the library.
When the user chooses to share, the rendered card image is passed through the iOS share sheet to a destination selected by the user. The destination service’s terms and privacy policy apply to information shared with that service.
4. Purchase Information
Sides uses Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat to process and restore Sides Pro purchases. Apple processes the payment details, and we do not receive the user’s full credit-card number.
To determine purchase status, RevenueCat may process an anonymous App User ID, device and operating-system information, the last time the App was used, Apple receipt data, and transaction information. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for details.
5. External Links
When a user or QR-code recipient opens an external website from a card, that website’s terms and privacy policy apply. We do not control the content or data practices of external websites.
6. Retention and Deletion
Card information remains on the device until the user deletes the card in the App or removes the App from the device. Images saved to Photos or sent to another service must be deleted by the user from the relevant destination.
Purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their retention policies, legal obligations, and transaction-record requirements. Contact us at the address below for questions or deletion requests relating to purchase information.
7. Children
Sides is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian should review the links entered and destinations used when a child uses the App.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when the App’s features, external services, or applicable laws change. Material changes will be communicated on this page or in the App.
